An Innovative New Shaft for Distance Made Easy

I generally don’t use the shaft that comes with my driver, as it never seems to really fit my swing and swing speed. I’ve tried an expensive driver shaft, which I was sold at Club Champion when getting fitted, but it never really performed as expected. More recently, I have been using the Jupiter shaft from Steadfast Golf, which is very good, but I am always interested in better dispersion and longer tee shots.

When I read about a new shaft coming to market from Sacks Parente Golf, known for high-quality putters, I was intrigued. The press release talked about “distance made easy” and how they accomplish that, so I had to try it. The Newton Motion shaft is the first product from Sacks Parente’s new business division, Newton. At first glance, it has a cool color that changes when the sun hits it. It’s a carbon fiber shaft tailored to your swing speed, rather than the generic S, R, X, XS options which are very general.

DOT System

The Newton Motion shaft uses a DOT system ranging from one to six dots, allowing for a tailored experience:

  • One Dot: Swing speeds less than 75 mph or driving distance less than 180 yards.
  • Two Dot: Swing speeds 75-85 mph or driving distance from 180-220 yards.
  • Three Dot: Swing speeds 85-95 mph or driving distance from 210-240 yards.
  • Four Dot: Swing speeds 95-105 mph or driving distance from 230-260 yards.
  • Five Dot: Swing speeds 105-115 mph or driving distance from 250-285 yards.
  • Six Dot: Swing speeds 115+ mph or driving distance from 275+ yards.

Performance on the Course

The most important part is how the new Newton Motion shaft performs on the golf course. I initially tested it on the range, and the results were impressive—most shots went right down the middle. It was time to test it on the course.

During my first round, my drives were longer than usual, and on the first par 5, I hit one of the longest drives in my group—25 yards longer than normal! Over 12 rounds, my drives averaged about 15-20 yards longer, and my dispersion improved significantly. The shaft's unique color-changing feature also caught my playing partners' attention, making it not only functional but stylish too.

Bottom line, the Sacks Parente Newton Motion shaft has exceeded my expectations. It’s longer, straighter, and has given me confidence on the tee. My scores have improved, and my playing partners are asking about the new shaft. It’s a winner in my book!
